Benedict (Benny) Wu, DO, PhD, is the Director of Inpatient Dermatology and Assistant Professor at Montefiore-Einstein. Dr Wu’s clinical interests extend to inpatient and complex medical dermatology areas, including connective tissue disorders, autoimmune bullous disorders, immunodermatology, cutaneous presentation of systemic conditions, and cutaneous lymphomas. After earning his Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine, in 2006, Dr Wu attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, earning his Master of Biomedical Sciences in 2007.

Caroline Halverstam, MD, FAAD, is an attending dermatologist and Associate Professor at Montefiore Einstein. Dr Halverstam’s clinical focus is on the diagnosis and treatment of general and complex medical dermatology including acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, hair loss, vitiligo, skin cancer and autoimmune conditions. In 2022, Dr Halverstam received her Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University. She then pursued her medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 2007.

Ethan Searles is a certified and licensed physician assistant at Schweiger Dermatology Group. Ethan is experienced in both medical and cosmetic dermatology procedures. He has diagnosed and treated dermatologic disorders ranging from acne, rosacea, eczema and psoriasis. Ethan is a seasoned cosmetic dermatology specialist and is skilled at many aesthetic procedures, including Botox, laser therapy, fillers, and microdermabrasion. Ethan received his Physician Assistant studies degree from Touro College in New York. Ethan has received certification from the American Academy of Aesthetics.

Melissa Rosenhan is a certified physician assistant at Schweiger Dermatology Group. Melissa graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in biochemistry. From there, she earned her Masters in Public Health from New York University, focusing on community and international healthcare, education, and healthcare management. Her passion has always been attributed to clinical medicine, namely dermatology. As such, she went on to receive her Masters degree in Physicians Assistant studies from Stony Brook University. She completed clerkships in psychology, obstetrics/ gynecology, general surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, outpatient medicine, geriatrics, emergency medicine, and dermatology.
