Eric D. Fornari, MD

Jacob F Schulz, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who provides comprehensive pediatric orthopedic care with an emphasis on spinal deformity, neuromuscular disease and trauma. He has a particular interest in the growing spine, with experience using the vertical expandable titanium rib (VEPTR) device and vertebral tethering through a thoracoscopic approach. At our Albert Einstein College of Medicine, he is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery. He served both his internship and residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia where he was honored with the Frank Hammond Sivitz and Chief Resident Teaching Awards in 2011.

Michael D Hossack, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in treating sports injuries. He is an expert in performing arthroscopic knee surgery, including primary and revision ACL reconstruction, multiligament knee reconstruction, patella and quadriceps tendon primary repair and reconstruction, meniscus surgery, and patella instability surgery. He has a special interest for articular cartilage restoration surgery in the knee. In addition to board certification in orthopedic surgery, Dr Hossack has additional Subspecialty Certification in Orthopedic Sports Medicine. Dr Hossack graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry.

Mitchell Weiser, MD, is Director, Adult Reconstruction Joint Replacement Fellowship Program at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Orthopedic Surgery at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He specializes in treating conditions of the hip and knee, including osteoarthritis, post-traumatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteonecrosis. Dr Weiser helps patients evaluate their surgical and non-surgical options, and helps them choose the most minimally invasive treatment whenever possible. When surgery is needed, he is skilled at performing both conventional and computer-navigated primary and revision (re-do) hip and knee replacements.

Albert A Panozzo, MD, is an Australian born and trained hand surgeon. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeon (FRACS) and a Fellow of the Australian Orthopedic Association FA(Orth)A. He is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery (ABOS) and holds a subspecialty certificate in surgery of the hand.

Bang H Hoang, MD, is Arnold S and Madaleine Penner Endowed Professor, Orthopedic Surgery, Director, Musculoskeletal Oncology Lab, Co-Director, Orthopedic Oncology and Research Director, Orthopedic Surgery at Montefiore Einstein. He specializes in musculoskeletal tumor surgery and is an expert in benign and malignant tumors, metastatic bone disease, pathologic fractures, complex bone and joint reconstruction with large-segment prosthesis and allograft, tumors of the pelvis and sacrum and investigational therapy for bone and soft tissue sarcoma. Dr Hoang received his Doctor of Medicine from UCLA School of Medicine in 1995.

Dr David S Geller is a board-certified orthopedic oncologist who specializes in the treatment of both pediatric and adult patients with bone and soft-tissue tumors. He has been a full-time faculty member at Montefiore Einstein since 2006, at which time he established the Orthopedic Oncology Division. He currently serves as the Vice-Chair of Strategy and Innovation, the Co-Director of the Orthopedic Oncology Division, and the Associate Director of the Musculoskeletal Oncology Lab. He is a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Eli Kamara, MD, is an Orthopedic Surgeon at Montefiore Einstein and an Associate Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He specializes in adult reconstructive orthopedic surgery, mainly hip and knee replacements. He also focuses on primary joint replacement, as well as revisions of hip and knee arthroplasty, anterior hip arthroplasty, partial knee replacement, knee arthroscopy, and fractures of the lower extremity. Dr Kamara received his Doctor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed a residency in Orthopedics at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He then completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at the University of San Francisco School of Medicine.

Saikiran Murthy, DO, MPH, MA, is a neurosurgeon specializing in complex spinal surgery and an Assistant Professor in the Leo M Davidoff Department of Neurosurgery at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr Murthy specializes in the surgical treatment of complex spinal disorders, with particular expertise in adult spinal deformity and revision spinal surgery. His clinical practice also includes the treatment of degenerative spine disease, cervical myelopathy, spinal trauma, and spinal tumors. He performs a full spectrum of spinal procedures, including minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery as well as complex reconstructive operations.
