Howard I Sherman, MD, is an attending physician and Adjunct Associate Clinical Professor, Gastroenterology at Montefiore Einstein. His clinical focus centers on colon cancer screening. After earning his Doctor of Medicine at Einstein in 1973, Dr Sherman began his postdoctoral training at Emory University. There, he completed his medical internship in 1974, his internal medicine residency in 1976 and a digestive diseases fellowship in 1978. Building on his clinical focus, Dr Sherman’s research is focused on colon cancer screening. Dr Sherman is board certified in Gastroenterology and is a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Allan W Wolkoff, MD, is Chief, Hepatology, Herman Lopata Chair in Liver Disease Research and Professor, Medicine and Developmental & Molecular Biology at Montefiore Einstein. His clinical focus centers on diseases of the liver and biliary tract, including chronic liver disease, fatty liver disease, hepatitis, inheritable disorders of the liver, drug toxicity and unexplained jaundice. Dr Wolkoff began his medical studies at Dartmouth Medical College and transferred to Einstein, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine in 1972. He completed an internship at Bronx Municipal Hospital Center in 1973 before becoming an Assistant Resident in Medicine until 1974.
