Sofiya Milman, MD

Martin I Surks, MD, MACP, is an attending physician, Professor, Medicine, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Program Director Emeritus, Endocrines Clinic (1976-2018) at Montefiore Einstein. Dr Surks’ clinical practice focuses on disorders of the thyroid gland and other disorders of general endocrinology such as diseases of the pituitary, parathyroid glands, gonads and adrenal glands, and metabolic bone disease. After completing his Bachelor of Arts at Columbia College in 1956, Dr Surks pursued his medical education at New York University - Bellevue College, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 1960. He began his postdoctoral training at Montefiore and completed it at Veterans Administration Hospital in 1963.

Cheryl Archbald, MD, MPH, is Medical Director, Pediatrics at Wakefield Ambulatory Care Center, Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus is on the delivery of comprehensive primary care for infants, children and adolescents. After completing her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Harvard University in 1990, Dr Archbald attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 1994. She completed her pediatrics residency at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 1994. Dr Archbald then continued her education at Columbia University School of Public Health, completing her Masters in Public Health and an additional residency in preventive medicine at the New York City Department of Health in 1999.

Dr Ciocon received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University (cum laude) and his MD from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Prior to his residency in dermatology, he completed three years of a combined general and plastic surgery residency training at Brown University, Rhode Island Hospital as well as a one-year clinical research fellowship in psoriasis at Harvard University, Brigham & Women's Hospital.

Hector Perez, MD, is an attending physician at Montefiore Einstein, and Associate Professor at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr Perez’s clinical focus is on primary care. In 2002, Dr Perez received his Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University. He then pursued his medical education, attending Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and earning his Doctor of Medicine in 2010. For his postgraduate training, he completed his residency in primary care social internal medicine at Montefiore, followed by a two-year fellowship in primary care research at New York University School of Medicine. Dr Perez’s research focuses on improving health outcomes in patients with opioid use and chronic pain.
